According to article 7 of AFFS constitution, there are 3 membership types

1-Society Members

2-Individual Members

3-Honorary Members

You may apply to the 2 first types, the third type of membership is decided by the board.

You are an official representative of an African Fertility Society who wish to join AFFS

Conditions

Your Society must fulfill the following criteria :

- A fertility society in a country within the African continent, composed primarily of persons medically qualified in a field allied to Reproductive Medicine, and registered with the appropriate Health Authorities of that Country

- A Society Member will typically be a Society comprising of the following: Physicians, Gynecologists, Reproductive Medicine Sub-Specialists, Embryologists, Andrologists, Geneticists, Fertility Nurses, IVF Coordinators and Counselors who have special interest in Reproductive Medicine.

- A Society Member, and its Constitution, should reflect similar aims as those stipulated in Article 6 of this Constitution.

 

Process

1. Application for Society membership shall be in writing using Forms stipulated by the Board of Directors.

2. The applicant Society would be required to attach its full and updated membership list.

3. The Board of Directors at their discretion may decide to accept or reject any application for membership without furnishing reasons. If the application is accepted, the Society should pay the membership fees according the number of declared members

Fees / year - 50 USD
Number of delegates - 1

Membership - 100 to 199
Fees / year - 100 USD
Number of delegates - 2

Membership - 200 to 299
Fees / year - 150 USD
Number of delegates - 3

Membership - 300 to 399
Fees / year - 300 USD
Number of delegates - 4

Membership - 400 to 499
Fees / year - 350 USD
Number of delegates - 5

Membership - 500 Above
Fees / year - 400 USD
Number of delegates - 6

(Following completion of the application process to join the AFFS, a tax invoice will be issued by the Secretariat for payment of annual membership fees, as per the above schedule.)

You are applying for an individual membership

Conditions

Any healthcare professional with an interest and involvement in reproductive medicine from a country that has no fertility society, may apply to become an Individual member of AFFS.

Individual members will have no voting rights at the General Assembly.

Process

1. Application for Society membership shall be in writing using Forms stipulated by the Board of Directors.

2. Send the Application form to pleroux@affs-africa.org

3. The Board of Directors at their discretion may decide to accept or reject any application for membership without furnishing reasons.

4. If the application is accepted, the Society should pay the following membership fees according to you position
